Installed 10.5.4. on a dell mini inspiron 910 and it works like a proper mac (virtually). I bought it with snow leopard installed and it felt like I was using a broken computer but luckily, after a failed update attempt, I did Darkten's method which is not generic and it feels ten times better.

I'm not too bothered about updating the OS but every now and then it takes two attempts to get the 'puter started so I was wondering if updating from RC 2 to RC 3 would make any difference and if it does how to do it using RC 2's installer.

Any good advice would be appreciated.

Sincerely,

Gareth Hardwick
