NewbyMackid
Ok so let me try to explain this is easy as possible because im not good with mac's to much. Ok so I got a bet I couldn't install mac osx 10.4 Tiger on my windows pc. So I downloaded a torrent just to win the bet then I will delete it. But My issue is, I can't boot it. I downloaded all these different boot loaders but none work and some are just wierd files. Does anyone have a link or file for a working boot loader for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger? The only one I have got to work at all was a darwin-snow.iso and I burned it loaded it and it tells me to swap then I put in the dvd with osx on it in and it says something about it can't find a startup.ini or something and the other one just says can't find kernel image. Please help lol.
ifrit05
You would have more luck trying to install Snow Leopard with those boot discs. Tiger is just to old for the kexts and boot load on the newer bootcds.

I don't have a dual layer dvd tho : ( I have Snow leopard also but I don't have a dvd big enough for it and I don't really wana buy one. Is there a way to boot my snow leopard.iso from a ext HD? Like make the HD boot it? I have a 500gb ext HD and a 320gb HD I could use but idk how to mount or make it bootable from a ext HD. The reason I choose Tiger was because it fits on my dvd's. Thats why I asked for a Tiger Boot iso. : (

Follow this for a rough guide. http://greyhead.co.uk/osx86-installer-pc You will still need the BootCD, make sure the HD is plugged in before you boot the BootCD though. Also, look up your specs so you know what you need to install OSX. You WILL need some hacked drivers and such.

And when you say look up your specs, do you mean find out my hardware info, like what my pc's components are? Are you open to IM? I think this might run a little faster if we could chat, I have msn, aim, and yahoo. Or Facebook. Also my copys of Mac Snow Leopard are ripped retail .iso's will they still work? Therefore you need to know what hardware is used in your PC. It is up to you how to get the info. A possible option is to run CPU-Z (if you have Windows installed). Then use this application to find out more.
