tanexlahn
Hello, I am the owner of 2 different types of computers, 1 being my laptop, a Toshiba Satellite L305D S5928, and my desktop, being an HP Pavilion p6744y. I would like to install mac os X on 1 of these 2 machines, preferably the HP Pavilion p6744y. I have 2 copies of mac os X leopard. One being Leo4allv3 and the other being iPC 10.5.6. The specs on my HP desktop are as follows Motherboard: H-I41-uATX (Eton) Manufacturer: Foxconn Form factor: microATX - 24.4 cm (9.6 inches) x 24.4 cm (9.6 inches) Chipset: Intel G41 Express Memory sockets: 2 x DDR3 Processor: Intel Pentium 5800 Dual core 3.2 Ghz per core RAM: 4 gigs of DDR3-1333 with a speed of PC3-10600 MB/sec Video Graphics: Integrated graphics using intel gma x4500 Sound: Integrated Realtek ALC662 Audio Networking: LAN: 10-BASE-T Realtek RTL8103EL 802.11 B/G/N PCI-E mini card (Half length) Hard drive: 1 TB SATA hard drive with a transfer rate of 3.0Gb/sec and rotation speed of 7200RPM Any other questions in regards to the PC you can ask me or check this website: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documen...t=5058932#N1214 Now that I have said the specs on my desktop, I have searched and searched and searched, and have not found anything in regards to whether or not dual booting mac os X and Windows 7 will work on this machine or not. So I would very very much appreciate it if someone could help me out by telling me if it is or isn't possible, and what I need to do to get it working. Thank you in advance for your time, Tanexlahn Also, if it's not possible on my Desktop, and if you know whether or not it's possible on my laptop off hand, and how to do it, that would be greatly appreciated! I basically have the same system, HP Pavilion p6xxx series. The distro that worked best with me is the iAtkos S3 ver 2. U'll probably encounter problems with the soundcard AlC662. I'd suggest u buy a generic USB dongle or if u plan to work with recording music, use a USB audio interface. The iAtkos S3 V2 installs the SL 10.6.3, and you can update to 10.6.8 via the usual Software Update without problems.

The only problem I have with sound is it's really quiet. I can't seem to get it to recognize my wifi or ethernet though... any suggestion?
