I have installed iATKOS S3 10.6.3 , and updated it upto 10.6.5, with everything working, except the graphics card being recognized properly and QE.

The following are the specs:

Core i5 540M

ATI Radeon Mobility 530v 512MB

The graphic card is being recognized as :

ATI Radeon HD 4890 with 256MB VRAM

Any way to make the SL recognize the card and enable QE/CI ?

I have tried searching everywhere regarding this issue, i need to solve it in order to make iWork suite work.

Ok, heres more info.

The gfx card has a device id of 0x9555 , which actually is a ATI Radeon Mobility HD 4500 series chipset.

The lists of kexts being loaded is:

ATISupport.kext

ATIFramebuffer.kext

I still can't change the resolution, nor is QE/CI working yet.

But am going through a lot of forums, for the correct kexts. I would be really grateful if any one can help me,

or even point me in some direction.

I tried the GraphicsEnabler=Yes bootflag, no use. Though in the System Profiler, my card is being detected as

unknown, but with 512MB ram. Here is the paste:

Hey Dragunov whats up? I am trying to install snow on 4520s.

My configuration is:

2.53ghz i5 (460m) busratio=19

with the 530v

I tried almost all available distros. I have succeeded only with retail installation (using latest ##### with GraphicsEnabler=No arch=i386 busratio=19) and iatkos 10.6.3

However i can get the usb ports working. Its very annoying. I solved the problem with patching the dsdt but for some reason i cant do that anymore. I get error in dsdt patcher.

Can you tell me what packages you select in iatkos installation? I think that if we get the 530v working 4520 will be a great macbook pro.
