iExchange
Hi everyone, I would like to install Lion DP4 on my i7 950 self built PC, these are my specs: motherboard - gigabyte X58A-UD3R CPU - i7 950 RAM - 4GB ddr3 graphics - geforce GTS 450 Here comes my stupid question - there are loads of bootloaders out there, which one should I use? I have tried kakewalk and iAktos but none worked. Or perhaps anyone with the same motherboard managed to install lion DP4 successfully? Thanks tons and any help is greatly appreciated. Crna Brada
.... - there are loads of bootloaders out there, which one should I use? I have tried kakewalk and iAktos but none worked. Or perhaps anyone with the same motherboard managed to install lion DP4 successfully? Thanks tons and any help is greatly appreciated. Except for the video card, everything else works for me just fine - except for sleep that appears to be a problem for which nobody has a solution. Here is what I found to be the easiest and very stable way. Take ##### from Tonymacx86 and extract using Pacifist latest Chimera or Chameleon (either would work). Extract also all the kexts (FakeSMC, Legacy889HDA would be enough in E/E and RealtekRTL81xx in S/L/E) and get DSDT for the BIOS version you have. Don't use ##### to install any of that as ##### assumes SL and could screw-up Lion install. Use command line manual install instead. This way you will get everything running except video. Good luck p.s. I am not sure but GrphicsEnabler=Yes in com.apple.boot.plist might be all you need to have the video running but check that.
