excellent sir...

that was a step in the right direction for me.. got rid of teateam kernel and using legacy kernel 10.6.6 by Prasys

so.. I am now getting:

TSC: Verification of clock speed PASSED.

TSC: Frequency = 1795.539294MHz, FSB frequency = 199.504366MHz, bus ratio

ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out

still no sleep though!!

I think we are getting close :(

: hibernate image major 14, minor 14, blocksize 512, pollers 2
: hibernate_alloc_pages flags 00000000, gobbling 0 pages
: hibernate_setup(0) took 0 ms
: System Doze

i am only getting this error now:

ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out

does that mean native PM is not working?

How can i check if all is good with native PM and USB?

Yep

dont work

USB is "Built in"? look at the system profiler

nativePM

ioreg -lw0 | grep PerformanceStateArray

ioreg -lw0 | grep CSTInfo

all USB ports say Built-in in system profiler.

here is the output from the commands you mentioned:

$ ioreg -lw0 | grep PerformanceStateArray
| |		 "PerformanceStateArray" = (<ff060000000000000a0000000a0000001609000001000000>,<38060000000000000a0000000a0000001608000002000000>)

$ ioreg -lw0 | grep CSTInfo
$<BLANK>

ok so it seems like I have to generate CStates, I am using RC5.. I assumed it would automatically generate this stuff

do I still need ctstate stuff even if my processor has no speedstep support?

here is my cpu spec:
