Snow Leopard 1.6.7 retail + ATI problems

I've manage to install Snow Leopard 1.6 from retail disc on a AMD computer using bootcd, so I update to 1.6.7 but looking out the .kext for the ATI4500Controller.kext i notice that it doesnt exist. I can see what's on screen connecting through my DVI output but I cant change the screen size and videos look's bad, is there a way of adding the ATI4500Controller.kext in this version?
