zoomber Posted May 24, 2011 Share Posted May 24, 2011 Hi, First off, let me say I have some SoundMax audio card installed in both the front and back of my computer. I have an IBM M52 ThinkCentre with 2 built in audio outputs and an internal speaker. At first I wasn't able to move the volume knob at all. Now after a restart, I'm able to control the volume, and when I open up system preferences, It detects the audio out port in the back of my computer, an audio in port in the front of my computer, and a SPDIF output that it claims is in the back of the computer. (is this because I installed VoodoHighDefAudio?) However, I have no SPDIF out at the back of my computer, unless I haven't realized Its in the same sound-card input. Also, when I select the audio out (rear) choice in system preferences and try to play sound, I get nothing. I have attached a picture to show the details.
