-!N-
All I tried was without EFI string, because if i try to boot with EFI string i cannot get it to boot in graphic, get stuck at this: ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out but i think the problem is cause by loading the graphic kext, which should take place at this stage... Remove AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext if it is causing problems. I will try to get the patched ATIFramebuffer to you tomorrow.

System profiler says that there are no displays connected, as if graphic card could not find its outputs? image is in 3rd post above.. I need the notebook for work soon - and i don't want to go back to windows :/ - apart from that graphic issue, everything works just fine This is from LsPci: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon HD 2400 XT (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Acer Incorporated [ALI] Unknown device 011f Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx- Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx- Latency: 0, Cache Line Size: 64 bytes Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 16 Region 0: Memory at d0000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) Region 2: Memory at cfef0000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) Region 4: I/O ports at 2000 Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 3 Flags: PMEClk- DSI- D1+ D2+ AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0-,D1-,D2-,D3hot-,D3cold-) Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME- Capabilities: [58] Express (v1) Legacy Endpoint, MSI 00 DevCap: MaxPayload 128 bytes, PhantFunc 0, Latency L0s <4us, L1 unlimited ExtTag+ AttnBtn- AttnInd- PwrInd- RBE+ FLReset- DevCtl: Report errors: Correctable- Non-Fatal- Fatal- Unsupported- RlxdOrd+ ExtTag- PhantFunc- AuxPwr- NoSnoop+ MaxPayload 128 bytes, MaxReadReq 128 bytes DevSta: CorrErr- UncorrErr- FatalErr- UnsuppReq- AuxPwr- TransPend- LnkCap: Port #0, Speed 2.5GT/s, Width x16, ASPM L0s L1, Latency L0 <64ns, L1 <1us ClockPM- Suprise- LLActRep- BwNot- LnkCtl: ASPM Disabled; RCB 64 bytes Disabled- Retrain- CommClk+ ExtSynch- ClockPM- AutWidDis- BWInt- AutBWInt- LnkSta: Speed 2.5GT/s, Width x16, TrErr- Train- SlotClk+ DLActive- BWMgmt- ABWMgmt- Capabilities: [a0] Message Signalled Interrupts: Mask- 64bit+ Queue=0/0 Enable- Address: 00000000fee00000 Data: 4098 Capabilities: [100] #1002 Capabilities: [94c] #1025 Capabilities: [011] #00 Capabilities: [00d] #00 I've also dumped what "Lizard" calls injected EFI (although i have not been inserting a EFI via boot.plist) which is interesting i think... chameleon_devprop.plist.zip I have converted a few values, dunno if it helps: Please notice: i do not have EFI string present, system would not boot then. (used Dyckyj's EFI string when tried) I could also arrange a VNC session, you would get ip+password then
-!N-
What happened to x0deadbeef and Dyckyj? I don't know whether this issue is hard to solve, but does someone know how to patch the kexts or make the outputs work?
