agalex
http://netkas.org/?p=794 This should not be it. This is for enabling OpenCL. The system recognizes a Mac so I can't update in new Developmnet. Any way I can define my system as a Mac Pro? Cheers, Alexander With the new Chameleon Lion OS X works. There seems to be a problem with the NVIDIA drivers, they are not compatible with Lion OS X. The system just puts you on the Log screen and refuses to go into OS X. When you type the password the system puts you again in the Log Screen. Anybody who tried his GTX - 480 on Lion OS X? agalex
Got it working full QE/CI with update 3 out of the box. Cheers, Alexander. OpenCL 1.1 works also as Netkas instructs.
Foxic
To bring this back from the dead. I have my 480 GTX working beautifully under 10.7.2 with OpenCL thanks to netkas' instructions. I also had to patch AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext and swap my device ID into the macpro5,1 section of the info.plist. (At this point I also installed the latest CUDA drivers, CUDA-z shows CUDA to be working.) I now have to boot with darkwake=no in order to wake the pc, otherwise I just wake to a black screen, but this has inadvertently made auto-sleep work, so I'm very happy about that. (I tried darkwake=0 but it caused a KP on wake) 1 thing though, since adding the patch to the GeforceGLDriver.bundle and AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext my fans seem to be running a lot faster, I only have 2 front fans on my radiator and 1 exhaust fan and the entire pc is water-cooled, including the 480 GTX. Is this just due to the fact that OpenCL is now working and the card is just doing a little bit more or is it that it's permanently stuck in it's highest power state? Temps are all the same so I'm not sure what's going on here. Thanks
bci24sg22
I have also a GTX 480. I connected the PC with my Sony Bravia KDL40EX720 TV using the DVI - HDMI cable. In Windows works great. In OS Lion 10.7.3 i don`t have sound, when i change the resolution to 720P the edges are left outside the screen. Any ideas how to fix this? Gringo Vermelho
You must patch AppleHDA.kext and add HDAU device code to your DSDT. Search for Toleda's spectacular HDMI audio guides over on the TonyMac forums.

Thanks What I wanted to find out is how do I get my brand new 480 GTX to work with 10.7.2 as I see everything right up to the grey apple logo and spinning wheel. Once that's done, it just goes to a black screen? I do not want to upgrade my OS as I'm Underclocking and if I update the OS it won't let me Underclock. Whatever help you can give would be great. Thanks... PS - I don't know how to search for things using HexEdit very well. For some reason it won't let me find and replace what I want to change using that app. Can you guide me through that process. Again, thanks... PunkNugget
Also, when I go here: http://netkas.org/?p=794 I tried to use HexEdit or 0xED it can't find: a8 83 f8 02 8b 45 f0 or ea 83 f8 02 49 8b to change them into the other numbers that I'm supposed to change them to, They are not on that file. I can only find a8 82 f8 02 and that's it (and there's about 8 or 9 of those throughout the whole file), but all the other numbers and letters aren't on all there together the way I'm supposed find them. Can you help at all? Thanks...
