Problems booting from CD after iAtkos v7 install

Hey guys. I've been around here a while, but I forgot the password on my other account. Might as well start fresh, it's been a while.

Yesterday, I decided to reformat my Dell XPS M1530 (previously only running Windows 7) and set it up as a triple-boot system running OSX and Ubuntu in addition to Windows. I used iAtkos V7 and followed the multiboot instructions in its readme, found here. My Mac OS X 10.5 installation works great, and so do my other OSes. The only problem: I need to upgrade to Snow Leopard (10.6) for iPhone development with XCode.

I got my hands on a retail Snow Leopard DVD, and I can access it in Finder while OSX is running, but I can't seem to boot from it. In fact, I can't seem to boot from any optical disc at all now. I can still press F12 in BIOS to get my boot menu, but no matter what I choose, Chamelion2 just takes over and asks me which OS to boot.

How can I get my system to boot from CD/DVD again? How can I upgrade my iAtkos installation to Snow Leopard? Do I need to start over and install a Snow Leopard package from scratch? (I'd hate to have to do this-- I already have tons of software and drivers installed on my current OSX system.)

Any other tips would also be welcome. I'd be glad to share my experiences, earlier problems I've solved, and maybe even write a troubleshooting guide or a tutorial once I figure all this out.

Thanks in advance,

Mike
