Achromatic
Core i7-950, 12GB, ATI Radeon 5850 on a 128GB SSD. I'm running 10.6.5. Used ##### to install: Chameleon 2.0rc5 and a DSDT for my mobo (Asus P6X58D-E). So close I can feel it, About My Mac recognizes CPU, sees the 12GB... BUT If I boot in safe mode, I can use my monitor (Dell 30") as expected. Safe mode boots in 1280x800, and I can use Display Prefs to change the resolution to 2560x1600 (native). All good. Boot in normal mode? After the usual initialization, after the DSMOS message, my monitor just goes to sleep and boot never completes. What should I be doing differently? I'm presuming there's a kext that I might not need? (given that booting in safe mode disables it, and I can boot). Or should I be using a different bootloader? Help, please!
