Static IP keeps spoofing other IPs repeatedly

I am at a university laboratory and I really need a static IP in order to serve data dependably. I keep getting booted off the assigned static IP because my machine is spoofing other IP addresses. I.T. assures me it is my machine's fault. Here is the error message I get about 1-2x each day now :

---------------------------------------

Network access for 6c:f0:49:47:xx:xx (xxxxxxxx.hsc.xxx.edu) has been disabled at 05/09/11 12:53:38:

Reason: Host using incorrect IP address

MAC 6c:f0:49:47:xx:xx IP 128.125.244.yyy found in rtr35 cache

Switch: nrt9-n7.xxx.edu

Port: 22030

I am running 10.6.6 on a G31M-ES2L-rev.1.1 using MyHack and the ethernet port in question is the integrated MoBo LAN (RealtekR1000SL). My IPv4 is configured manually and IPv6 is off. There are no viruses / infections (ClamXav, iAntiVirus, and VirusBarrier). I have repaired disks, permissions, Onyx automation, and rebooted a dozen times. I can't imagine how this is a hardware issue.

Should I repair OSX with the install disc? I've never done that before and I'm worried about losing all of my applications. I suspect some very limited software surgery could fix my issue, but I have no idea where to begin. I have Googled to no avail. Any ideas are very much appreciated. Thanks.
