Hi. I am running leopard 10.5.1 Kalyway and I cannot get my LAN to work.

My motherboard has already an on-board ethernet (Intel 82562EZ PLC), and also i have a pci ethernet card (Encore ENL832-TX-RENT ). I cannot get any of them to work.

In network/preferences the Encore PCI is recognized as "Ethernet". The Intel on board is recognized as a modem! under the name of "Built-in serial port". When I plug my cablemodem to my Intel onboard ethernet, nothing happens.

When i plug it to the Encore ethernet pci, the red dot next to "Ethernet" turns green and it says IP self assigned, but the ip that appears it is not the ip assigned by my ISP, as it should be.

When I run a diagnosis, the first two dots turn green, the rest of them, starting from ISP, remain red.

So, maybe i am just making a wrong LAN configuration?

I need help please!!
