akshaiv Posted May 6, 2011 Author Share Posted May 6, 2011 try it mate. btw, i just checked nawcom's kernel, and i had no problem downloading it. yes, the site seems blocked here for some reason...used a proxy and downloaded the file. Also i reinstalled windows since my bro needed the laptop, again using MBR. I did as you asked me, unfortunately in the single user mode it could not detect my usb. Therefore i used http://www.paragon-software.com/home/hfs-windows/ and copied the file. Now here are the messages i get. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
b1gdadd1 Posted May 6, 2011 Share Posted May 6, 2011 Now here are the messages i get.... do the following please: - boot into single-user mode - check the file system and mount the root directory - at the root directory, type this "ls -l > /rootlist.txt" - go to /Extra (if it exists, if none tell me please) and type this "ls -l > /extralist.txt" - go to /Extra/Extensions (if it exists as well) and type this "ls -l > /extra-ext-list.txt" - reboot but startup windows with paragon-hfs - copy the three text files from your snow partition and post it here. b1gdadd1 Posted May 6, 2011 Share Posted May 6, 2011 Here they are... right, do this one first and see if it works: - boot into single-user mode again - do usual check/mount - type this chown root:wheel /mach_kernel - and this chmod 644 /mach_kernel - reboot with usual flags btw, can you post your Extensions.mkext and com.apple.Boot.plist as well please.
