Metmac
So I finally got the my perfect rig, but with one hiccup. Specs: (Whats important) Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 (what i have seen alot of people use, and I just love that mobo) (EVGA) Nvidia GTX260 216 Core (Galaxy) Nvidia 9500 GT Now I have both cards in my box and they both appear in System Profiler. (see Attached) However only the GTX260 is pushing an image. Any advice EFI string? DSDT Mod? Kext? Thanks

ifrit05
1. You cannot use 2 or more GPU's at once unless your BIOS/Motherboard supports it and only if they are connected together with a SLI cable (nVidia) or a CrossFire cable (ATI) 2. Most of the time they have to be the exact same GPU.
Metmac
If thats true why does it even recognize it in system profiler .. My Mobo does support it (It works fine in Windows). So theoretically all i need is an SLI cable, or am I going to have to go through the whole GFXstring stuff (pain in the a**).

Profiler) see both because both are physically connected to the system, but that does not mean they are running as "Dual GPU's". You MUST have an SLI cable to connect both together. As I said: 1. Both cards need to be the same exact card 2. Both must have a SLI port on the cards themselves and connected through said SLI cable 3. Your Motherboard/BIOS has to support SLI. An EFI string wouldn't help here.
