I have successfully installed VoodooHDA.kext (2.7.2) thus giving me sound.
Only thing wrong is that the sound has a staticness..? to it like a crackling noise when songs are played etc...
Any clues?

I guess this Topic will be my Adventure with ALC662...
To recap some stuff:
-VoodooHDA.kext (Any version) will give me sound but the audio is very garbled and scratchy at times.
-Just about any other method that I try will give me a gray audio icon In Mac OS 10.6.7
I'm going to be straight up and say I'm not the best Hackintosh expert ever but I short of know what I'm doing.
One thing I fail at is DSDT's. So confusing to me. I think that my DSDT is not configured right for the ALC662
In my DSDT I have the following:
I've been stumbled on this problem for the past 3 days....I'm not going to give up till I have my ALC662 running correctly!

In my DSDT I have the following:

},

}
}, Local0)
DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0))
Return (Local0)
}
}
}
I think that's all I've done with this DSDT. I don't even know where I got this DSDT so I don't know if It's compatible with my system or not, I have a Biostar A770E3.I've been stumbled on this problem for the past 3 days....I'm not going to give up till I have my ALC662 running correctly!
