I have an hp nc6400 with intel core duo t2400 and a 945 gm chipset. Graphics card is ati radeon x1300. Is there a way fo getting dual core enabled or must I always boot with cpus=1? I can get it to boot for like a few minutes but that's it then it freezes. Usually without giving me a grey screen. Sometimes I do get the restart curtain.

If i can get this thing to work, I will write a how to about the hp nc6400

Hi, I love this notebook since Leopard 10.5.x and then 10.6.x. I have just written some stuff HERE and HERE (ATI) about.

For the cpus=1 I have fixed (till now) on NC4400 as I have described HERE

In other words I have:

- Update Chameleon to RC5 rev. 760 and enable -P and -C states on boot

- Installed fakesmc 3.1 ver. 493 on /S/L/E and rebuild kext cache (kext utility)

- From THIS old post I have applied xristos fix to my DSDT, compiled and installed.

- Reboot with Dual Core enabled and till now NO KP!!!!

In this moment I haven't my NC6400 by me, when you want u could try my mix-fix and report the behavior.

(sorry for my really bad English!!!)

my 2 cents :)
