Gringo Vermelho
Can I put a dual-core? Intel, maybe ... Heh, no you can not use Intel CPUs in PPC motherboards. Use this site to find out what your options are: http://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-looku...rds=PowerMac3,6 Probably something like this: http://www.newertech.com/products/maxpower48.php And a modified Geforce 7800 GS: http://www.barefeats.com/mutant3a.html Fun, but definitely not worth it, especially if you live in Brazil. Leandro Morsa Lourenco
So from what I understand, I can put a processor with 1:42? That's it? It has an advertisement in our Ebay (http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-180285950-power-mac-g4-dual-2x-125ghz-2gb-hd-80gb-super-drive-_JM) that guy is selling de1.25 with a processor, but from what I understand seems to be dual processor? Am I wrong? and navigating and giving some searches, I found this product here ... http://www.sonnettech.com/product/encore_st_duet Work on my PPC? Hug's Thanks man! Gringo Vermelho
No, you can use a dual CPU module as well. The CPU or CPUs are mounted on their own circuit board that plugs in to the motherboard, like this, look at the photos here: http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/G4ZONE/G4_dual_...l_G4_page1.html Here's more stuff you can do: http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/systems.html#g4 The Sonnet processor upgrade would work, but it's sold out and they don't make it anymore. Remember you're talking about buying upgrades for an obsolete 8 years old computer.
