i have a mac book pro and its only booting up from the newest cd wich is the beta 10.7 . i have no clue why it isnt working with any other version of osx . the harddrive is totaly wiped .any help would be appreciated

The install DVD that ships with a Mac will only work with that particular model.
Are you sure the DVD you're trying to use is not model specific?

i dont have that dvd . i have downloaded various torrents .. now im stuck

You can't use "Hackintosh" modified install DVDs on a real Mac.

i have before . the hazzard versions . but this time it isnt even working with retail downloaded torrent im searching around for the 17 inch retail torrent dvds
