TehDoctor
I have spent an entire day trying to get this to work, and now I have stumbled onto #####. I have used bootloaders, and every other thing you could think of. And I continue to get stuck at "Still waiting for root device" Hell, I've even had a friend who is very good at this try and help me and he still couldn't figure out what is wrong. Yes I have HDD's set to AHCI, and I'm pretty sure I have compatible hardware. And yes, I have a retail copy of Snow Leopard. Please help, thanks. After thinking about it a bit, could it be that I formatted my drive in windows and currently have it as NTFS? Update 1: No, Unallocating the drive caused it to Kernel Panic... Update 2: Tweaking more BIOS led me back to the inevitable "Still waiting for root device" tl;dr: I'm stuck on "Still waiting for root device" Update 3: Fixed multiple ways. 1. My Mobo: (P6X58D-E) Does not like SATA so you must put drive in an external enclosure 2. Rebel-EFI: It helped me install 3. Rebel-EFI Sucks, Install fails 4. I have a MacBook Pro: Installed it through there 5. Am currently battling problems
