KHIT
Hi I have earlier run Leopard on my HP Pavilion dv6317ea, but then I went back to windows 7, and now I'm trying to install Snow Leopard 10.6 on it, by using #####+#####. The DVD-drive on my laptop isn't working so well, so I'm forced to copy the contents of my SL install DVD to a flash drive, which I have formatted to Mac OS Extended(HFS+) with MacDrive 8. I have tried booting from ##### CD, then selecting Installation Flash Drive, and boot flags -v arch=i386, but it gave me kernel panic on VoodooPS2Trackpad. My CPU doesn't support Intel VT/VT-x or EM64T, so I have read somewhere on the internet that I have to write arch=i386 to make it boot in 32-bit mode instead of 64-bit mode. I have also tried booting -v -x arch=i386 cpus=1 and -v arch=i386 cpus=1 I'm kind of lost here, can someone tell my how to install my retail copy of SL on my system. I have already found the neccesary kexts for my system, and downloaded the 10.6.7 Combo Update, so I'm ready to update as soon as the system is running. Here are the specs of the PC CPU: Intel Core Duo T2250 1.73GHz GPU: Intel 945GM Express Chipset Family 128MB(QE/CI Support under 10.5.8) HDD: Hitachi SATA HDD 160GB 5400rpm RAM: 1GB DDR2 Boot method: #####+USB Flash Drive copy of install DVDI don't want to use any distro, because they come with a lot of apps and system changes that I don't like. Also I need a Legacy Kernel to update. Thansk in advance
