Why bother from Win7? Boot up your Mac partition via Empire EFI or ##### and reinstall Chameleon.

i cannot boot from mac os x please tell me:)

Your best bet is to, install MAC OS on virtual machine and then download a bootloader and install it to your USB drive. After, restart and boot your USB drive, and it'll load the bootloader, and you can select your MAC OS X again. Boot up, and then reinstall the bootloader, and it should fix it up.

haha, for some reason I didn't think of the CD option because my cd/dvd drive is broken... ;___; silly me.

This might come in handy for you, use a usb boot disk. If you reinstall Chameleon, won't it overwrite

the Windows MBR? I think that is still the best solution, but will require a Windows recovery disk.

@ Devout

I meant it would be helpful to you since you have no dvd burner. Over a period of twenty years I've had my parade rained on just a few times, but it's such a pita, that I preach "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." With 10.7.0 coming out in a few months, fear drives me to have a backup and an emergency boot cd. I also have an emergency usb boot stick. I may have arrived at old fuddy-duddy-hood, though I prefer to call it the golden years of redundant wisdom. ;)

Anyway, I wanted to test to see if my new signature was working with a photo.

 • 4 years later...

if you have a boot loader on a usb stick, you can probably boot with it (if you made a usb installer, you have one)

hope you do...

( I know, IT's an old thread, but he asked.)
