Lordadmiral Drake
I'm trying to install Lion using ##### 1.4a But no matter what I enter for System Board ID, I always get the following error message: "This version of Mac OS X is not supported on this platform. Board ID: TP43D2-A7" I've got the mentioned Board, an Intel C2D E8400 and a Radeon HD6850
Dellmantt
Try the preconfigured XPC from here. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=250415 And where it says "2 – Put “bootdisk” content in the usb dongle" do it from terminal sudo cp -R
Lordadmiral Drake
I currently don't have a working OS X system. So I copied the files from the download using windows and ended up with a black screen

If not, go to Lion/Systen/Library/CoreService and delete and try again.
Lordadmiral Drake
How shall I delete something from a DVD? I've burnt the image to a disc as it is, put ##### 1.4a on a USB-Drive and inserted the disc. brxxthe
not sure if we are talking about DP1 or DP2 as I believe PlatformSupport.plist does not exist in DP2. CORRECTION: My mistake it gets installed in S/L/CoreServ after install but does not exist in base system.
brxxthe
LordAdmiral are you getting the error during the installer? or during boot? If during installer you need to patch the OSInstall.mpkg file. I'm also confused about the DVD statement as most of us are NOT installing straight from DVD but rather a mounted base system dmg that let's us modify these files.
