Problem with install (Board ID)

I'm trying to install Lion using ##### 1.4a

But no matter what I enter for System Board ID, I always get the following error message:

"This version of Mac OS X is not supported on this platform.

Board ID: TP43D2-A7"

I've got the mentioned Board, an Intel C2D E8400 and a Radeon HD6850

Hi:

Did you delete the file PlattformSupport.plist ? If not, go to Lion/Systen/Library/CoreService and delete and try again.

LordAdmiral are you getting the error during the installer? or during boot? If during installer you need to patch the OSInstall.mpkg file. I'm also confused about the DVD statement as most of us are NOT installing straight from DVD but rather a mounted base system dmg that let's us modify these files.
