Hey there,

I have a few year old acer aspire one AOA 150 running 10.6.2 for some time. Due to MobileMe's requirement of 10.6.3 or higher for the new calendar, I am thinking to upgrade to 10.6.6 or even 10.6.7. I have installed osx86 a few times but I have always done my installs from scratch and not by going through an upgrade so I am trying to figure out if anyone out there has successfully gone through a similar upgrade and what I should watch out for.

I have been reading about this for a few days, so have got netbookinstaller app, multibeats app, kext helper b7, and a few other tools ready. I know I need to start the 10.6.6 combo update but not reboot the machine without running #####. I have never used ##### and am wondering if anyone with a similar netbook knows which kexts I should re-install after the update. I am pretty sure I will need to redo the AppleHDA and Voodoo kexts, as well as the UBScontroller. I replaced the netbooks original wifi module with the Dell 1390 so I shouldn't have problems with the wifi working.

So if anyone reads this and has some suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated. I will probably be running this on the weekend.
