Fit-PC2 + 10.6.6 : dream or reality?

Hi, I'd like to run OS X 10.6.6, client or server edition (have both), either normally or virtually on a Fit-PC2 (Z530 Atom/US15W SCH/GMA500) miniature PC.

Virtualization of OS X 10.6 seems impossible on this machine given that its CPU supports VT but is 32 bits only (please correct me if I'm wrong).

As for native installation, I have read quite a lot on the subject and the only (but big) problem seems to be that the GMA500 graphical chipset is only partly supported and apparently the VGA-out doesn't work with OS X on netbooks with the same chipset.

Here we talk about DVI/hdmi-out, though, and Ubuntu 8.04 came preinstalled on the box without the poulsbo GMA500 driver for graphical acceleration and works fine nevertheless, thus I have a little bit of hope that 10.6 - and even better, 10.6.6 with the Mac App Store and latest XCode & iOS emulator (does the latter need GPU accel.?) - could work too without excessive hassle...

Concretely, I'm thinking about applying the following procedure made for netbooks with the same chipset as my Fit-PC2: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...87289&st=60, eventually helping myself with info from the pionneer, in-depth technical thread about that same chipset http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...8426&st=480.

Before starting (and buying storage media), I'd like to know whether you think that I could use a Mini SD card (Fit-PC2 has one mini sd slot) to install OS X on it and/or boot from in the first place or if I should rather use an external USB harddisk/pendrive, or a mix of the two?

Asking this before buying and trying because from what I've read I think that it'd be better not to rely on USB if possible, since some manipulations and - more annoying - the 10.6.6 update are reported to disable USB support on that chipset (see the in-depth technical thread mentioned above).

Also, provided that the box can be easily unscrewed and has a mini PCI-E expansion slot, I could put in it any additional hardware (like a 10.6.6-compatible USB2 card and a slightly bigger case, for instance) needed to improve/allow full compatibility with OS X 10.6.6 and am willing to do so, unless it's really too expensive/results in a monster pc (oops - hackintosh!) instead of a miniature one.

P.S.:

I saw that there's an old thread about this machine, without conclusion - maybe it should be reactivated and merged with this thread?
