Adrian271 Posted March 18, 2011 Share Posted March 18, 2011 Well I eagerly waited for my Edimax USB Wifi adapter from Newegg.com. The internal Wifi antennae on this type of laptop (the DVxt series by hp) doesn't work on OS X. The factory antennae doesn't work with OSX on this laptop because there is something that hp did that prevents it from working on OSX, full details in mammoths thread if you look at one of the antennae PDF guides in the big first post in this thread. So back to the Edimax, I found it basically searching for smallest USB Wifi on google. It ran me $16.99 plus tax (in CA) which isn't bad considering its size. It said it worked on OS X which is good enough for me. Though I was a little worried when I popped in the Driver CD and there were OS X drivers on it. Fortunately the drivers are on their site and it wasn't too difficult to find it. So far it works great though it did kill my audio right off the bat.
