coxsparra Posted March 17, 2011 Share Posted March 17, 2011 Hiya guys! Been a reader for a while but just needed to pick your brains here, cant find a topic that answers my query so forgive me. Follwed fcollingwoods excellent guide to installing 10.5.6 on a P5QL-EPU, the process went perfectly and im presented with a nice working OS, the trouble is that no matter what VoodooHDA.kext i use, I cannot get the OS to detect my onbaord (or any!) audio, which is confusing me as the guide says use VoodooHDA.kext with the kexthelper and it should be fine, and everyone else with this setup seems to only have troubles as far as 5.1, i however cant get ANYTHING to appear in Sound>Output Could anyone possibly shed some light? I vaguely remember reading perhaps i needed to edit the kext to insert a line, but that was just one post and for another mobo. Anyhow guys, thanks for your time!
