thenixhex311
Since last night around 11pm I've been trying to successfully get Snow Leopard installed onto my PC. It's 2pm the next day and I am typing to you on it. After some major issues with recognizing the hard drive(s) I've tried to use, scouring these boards and others for working boot flags to use, and being an overall n00b at this (i DID install OSX on my laptop, but that was EASY), I've come a long way quick. I had no clue how to use terminal, install kexts, or anything. I have everything working now, but my only question is why my cpu (intel i920 Quad Core) is being listed as a dual-core Intel Xenon in the System Profiler. I've followed this guide here: http://www.hackint0sh.org/f200/87909.htm as I have the same motherboard and cpu (just different iAtkos install) I followed the DSDT patching to a T, even retried it the ways some other people on there said to do it in order for my computer to recognize all four cores and i still have this listed: Processor Name : Dual-Core Intel Xenon Processor Speed: 3.58Ghz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 2 Is there something I did wrong following that guide that didn't unlock all my cores correctly? Should I be googling for some other possible DSDT file out there somewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
