Not recognizing PCI NIC cards everytime?

Hey guys

So im pulling out my hair here. Ive got a dell GX620 running osx6.4 HaZZard, and an IBM A70 Lenovo running 10.6.3 iATKOS i3 10.6.3. The Dell is a pentium D dual 3.2Ghz, 3GB Ram, the IBM is dual 2.8GHZ pentium E5500 4GB ram

Well the IBM came in a goofy mini case, has the dreaded Marvell Yukon 88e8057. I swear, i hate this card, ive spent hours now reading about how to recompile a driver in Xcode only to realize, i don't know enough.

Ok. So i grab some PCI cards. Wish i could have had Gigabit, as i like using logic node, but whatever. So i try a 3Com 3C905TXM. Nothing. Found the driver on source forge, installed it, nothing. Ok. Drop it in my Dell. Hey look at that, works perfectly.

I have a kingston and a Linksys that both work with the Tulip driver. Both work fine on the dell.

But we go over to the IBM. Kexts installed using kexthelper, and nothing. The 3Com doesnt show up in Network preferences, but shows up just fine in LSCPI. The linksys occasionally works. For awhile, it was every other boot. At all times it would be recognized, however it was only every other time would tulip.kext actually get loaded. Lastly, the kingston, will show up in network prefs every other time, but has never established an internet connection, all 3 tested through DHCP, Manual, etc.

SO, i'm getting a bit frustrated. I've reinstalled OSX..using the qoopz10.3 kernel. Why are my PCI cards not showing up? LSPCI sees em, windows sees em. Is it a Bios setting? Something in the DSDT i need to play with?

And has anybody got any good news on that darned 88e8057?? plist mods don't work. Sends the thing into a kernel panic or looking for a 2nd MAC address port that doesnt exist. lol

Thanks guys, any suggestions would be great. Im basically looking to retire my G5 from heavy use. Yea the thing serves me whell but when i isaw the dell run circles around it in a render...sheesh!
