Swad Posted August 19, 2006 Share Posted August 19, 2006 Well, I just got a MacBook from eBay. 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo 512MB memory (2x256MB SODIMMs) 60GB 5400-rpm Serial ATA hard drive SuperDrive (DVD±RW, CD-RW) Price: $950 Shipped Pretty good deal, I thought. I bought some RAM on newegg to upgrade it with, along with a case from Waterfield. I able to buy it thanks to the help of you guys. Expect a huge review. But i think what sold the Macbook was the heat reduction and the repairs that it has gotten. Merom doesn't look that great so i think that right now the Macbook is the chosen choice. Swad Posted August 19, 2006 Author Share Posted August 19, 2006 I was going to get an MBP, but all the benchmarks say that they're about on par speed wise. Also, with the money left over (and money I get from selling my OSx86 machine), I'll be able to buy a core 2 duo iMac when/if they come out.
