Confirmed with M-Audio 2496 and Envy24_SL64bit_0.22 on Lion final

Hmm I have the same setup, but I'm having some stability issues with it. When I play a song using Vox (haven't tried anything else yet), it will play about 2/3 of the song then Vox will freeze. When I use a different audio interface it's fine.

Also, once when I was switching audio interfaces to use the 2496 using the volume control menu icon (option+click it and choose interface) while I had music playing, I had a hard restart. Not even a kernel panic, just rebooted.

Can anybody test if kextload after sleep ist possible?
because if I don´t unload the kext before sleep, i get a KP (the problem is already known and thats the workaround for it).

Edit:

A lot of people have problems with VOX in Lion.

Interesting, I'll give it a try using a different player, though for whatever reason, Vox is working fine with my Fiio E7 USB DAC.

EDIT: It does seem to only be Vox that has the problem, though it's weird it doesn't happen when I use the Fiio. Anyway, I've just been using other players until there's an updated version of Vox available, so no biggie.

Hello everyone ! I haven't posted on insanelymac for ages ! :D

What's the status of a Prodigy HD2 Grade B under 10.7, 32 and 64bits ? :)
I'm just needing the headphone out, volume control and sample control.
RCA out would be bonus...

Is our god, audiowriterdriver still around ? Or is there anyone else "in charge" ? ;)

No problems with the new Vox beta. So I can confirm the driver works fine with my Audiophile 2496 in Lion retail.

Wanted to report that analog output 1 is working for ESI ESP 1010 with envy24 driver loading the card as generic .

I did not test inputs yet.

edit: tested on both Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and Lion 10.7.1

Hey, patched Envy24HT kext fixing sleep/wake issues available here:

https://github.com/fredemmott/Envy24HT (click 'Downloads', then pick the .kext.tar.bz2' underneath 'Download Packages', not either of the top options)

Specific fix:

https://github.com/f...333396e6b9b08bb

WARNING: I've only tested this on 64-bit Lion with a Terratec Phase 22 card. Your milage may vary.

Great work, fredemmott

I'm suffering from sleep/wake issues with Envy24 driver.
Sleepwatcher is not a complete solution for me.
Could you patch Envy24_SL.0.22 too?

Thanks.

Hi Tuxianer. Sorry for reviving an old thread but have you (or anyone else) come up with a solution to your problem? I have the same error with my Audiophile 2496.

@audiodriverwriter

I can not work with the Source of Envy24 in Xcode 4.

"Jam is deprecated and has been removed; targets that use Jam must be upgraded to native targets. For more information on doing this, consult the Xcode documentation."

edit:

Changing targets to native brings other errors
... AudioEngine.cpp:444: warning: format '%x' expects type 'unsigned int', but argument 2 has type 'UInt32'
and many more

Which software do you use to make it?

this can only be done in xcode3. xcode4 does not have this option.

But the build does not work in xcode3...

...a lot of errors in xcode3

warning: 'IOMallocContiguous' is deprecated

Someone has modified Audiodriverwriter's envy24 driver to support ONKYO SE90PCI on Mac OS X / Hackintosh.

http://www.studiokum...I-Mac-OS-X.html

But it doesn't work on my machine. Anyone has tried it too?

well, I was not interested in Envy24, but in a couple of kext's sources to compile in xcode4

I am downloading xcode 3.2.6 to give it a try

thanks my friend

Finally Audiodriverwriter's driver (modified by Stark Wong of Studio Kuma) works with Onkyo SE90PCI (w/o systemwide volume control) on my hackintosh (Lion / Asus P5QL Pro).
Thanks very much, Audiodriverwriter and Stark Wong.

Hi, a quick post to let you know that I was able to get my m-audio audiophile 2496 working (at least audio output; input not tested yet) on Lion 10.7.2 with the Envy24_SL64bit_0.20 driver which I found at www.osx86.net
