some mac
Ok. I got it working. mac.os.x.install.dvd.dmg image has to be restored to a hard disk partition. Putting it on a DVD won't work for some reason. Weird.
Tynsoe
Personally, I did launch the installer from my hard drive, the OSInstall.mpkg, and I did have the same problem. When the installer was stalled, I did kill the stalled processus from terminal and the install continued successfully The stalled process was "temacs", so a sudo killall temacs was ok
