Carlchen
Hi, first post-been trolling though , was wondering if anyone has used the new Microsoft LifeCam VX6000 for ichat as a replacement for the isight? I like the color and the Hi-res/vista video capabilities of this web cam but I think it would be wise to purchase one only if it works on both macOsx64/lep and pc. I know it's MS but worth a 'shot' don't you think? decisions, decisions, decisions
ramcosca
A Microsoft webcam working on a Mac? I don't know much about that... Would someone clarify my doubt? Do Microsoft Intellimice work on Macs?
brewno
If you want a great cam, compatible with OSX and iChat, go for iSight. Can't go wrong with that.
osxgus
hiya, there should be some app to bridge the cam for use on mac, (if it's a usb cam) it's called iChatCamUSB [a bridge-ing app ] or something like that. Apparently it's still in beta stage and is a little buggy but lets you use a usb cam on mac, photobooth, ichat, imovie etc. i use a firewire dv camera.. ;-) no need to get another piece of equipment. cheers! osxG
Pu7o
Microsoft mice definitely work on Macs. This is the mouse I'm currently using on my iMac 17" (Intel):

Jurek
I find this as the most universal opensource driver set for web cams on mac os http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/index.html
MacMeGosh
If it comes from SourceForge then it's good probably... anything OpenSource tends to work better overall... at least in my experiences. Mainly because people can mod them the way needed without having to depend on the company to half-butt do something.
