Hi there,

first to introduce myself.

I've been using Leopard on a hackintosh for 2 years now.

The specifications are

3 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Gigabyte EP35-DS3

ATI Radeon HD 3800 Series

4 GB 800Mhz DDR2

500GB Harddrive SATA

Mac OS X 10.5.8 (yet)

So I tried to install 10.6 on another hard disk (SATA) in the same computer, temporary removing the Leopard disk.

I have been able to install Snow Leopard and boot using the chameleon boot loader.

Now to the problem:

I am only able to boot into Safe Mode and I needed to add the following alterations to the boot.plist:

PCIRoot=1

GraphicsEnabler=Yes

When I try to boot into normal mode the screen goes grey and there's some graphic noise in the top left corner - then the system reboots.

This also happens when I'm booting with the -v kernel option.

My guess is that there's something wrong with either the kexts for the motherboard chipset or the graphics cards.

I am still able to boot into safemode and I am still able to boot from the other harddisk 10.5.8

Anybody some ideas? I'm really open to suggestions right now, since I've been trying to do it on my own for a week now. (that's reading forums, tutorials, etc)
