sephirothbob Posted March 2, 2011 Share Posted March 2, 2011 I used Hazard 10.6.2 Snow Leopard on my computer, and after trial and error got it to work. I know exactly what audio kext I need to install, but I can't figure out the right way to do install it without having everything die on reboot. I need ALC888 (mobo is Gigabyte P35-DS3L), and I downlaoded it and used kext helper b7 to use it. Upon reboot I got a mean black screen with a watermark of a Power symbol with the text: "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button until it turns off, then press the Power button again." Doing that gets me back to the same screen. Could somebody please help me get audio rolling on my new hackintosh?
