Greetings for all,

I've successfuly created my hackintosh which works perfectly ...

Bootable, Stable, Sound, VGA, Network, and proper DSDT file. Everything is fine except that OSX keep checking my DVD-Rom every now and then !

The DVD-Rom itself does not have any disc inside the tray. Although OS check it and turn on its lid for seconds.

I don't know why but i suspected Spotlight. Spotlight did that with the hard disk for all NTFS partitions i have which was pain in the A** until i prevented Spotlight from touching my NTFS partitions. Could it be the same reason why the system keeps checking the DVD-Rom drive?

My system specs are:

Intel Core i5-760

Asus P7H55D-M Pro

Evga NVIDIA GTX 465 SC

4GB DDR3 @1333

Realtec RTL8168D

DVD-RW 1: ASUS DRW-24B1LT [This one is being checked]

DVD-RW 2: Samsung TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223C [This one never get checked !!]

Concerning the OS, i use 10.6.6 Vanilla setup ...

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
