Hello Everybody….

After spending a lot of time, finally i am able to get work my XFX radeon 5770 HD 1GB (Double slot).

What I did…….

A fresh 10.6.3 retail SL installation in a newly partitioned drive using a running mac.

Make this bootable using "My Hack Installer".

Update to 10.6.5 Combo update. (This is important)

Install the Radeon KEXT (My own modified) using KEXT helper.

Reboot & done.

Go to ABOUT THIS MAC>MORE INFO>GRAPHICS DISPLAY

(Everything working Full QE/CI)

If anyone need the KEXT Let me know.

Thanks.

My specification

Gigabyte GA G41M-ES2L

Quad Core Inel Q8300 2.3GHz

XFX Radeon 5770 HD 1GB

I would inject it with an bootloader because ATY_Init is only 32 Bit. :)

Use AnVAL or Kabyls bootloader!!!! The configuration is really easy you will see.

You have only to copy the new boot file in your root directory, edit your boot.plist with Graphics Enabler=Yes, delete the ATY_init and that´s it. ;)

Hi, I have a problem w/ video card, it xdx 577a znfr ve.4 and I have a system w/ the following configuration:

Gygabite z68ap-d3

2- samsung ssd on soft raid

Running OSX Marverics.

My card is attached to the motherboard, it boots ok GE=Yes , but no Kexts are loaded, and resolution sucks.

I can boot w/ my intel hd3000 on board card w/ full res. I got this one working perfect, but as I keep messing w/ it now my hd 3000 is only showing 7mb

Oh, on the system report it shows the HD5770 but also, no kext loaded and only 5mb.

You think you can help me make my HD5770 to work properly!!??

Thanks in advance!!

Regards

Art

There might be something wrong with your OS X installation (or it’s too old) cause that 5770 should work OOB, with or without the enabler. Mine does since Mavericks. I’d recommend you to install Mavericks or Yosemite again to make sure it’s not a damaged kext or some other part of the OS.
