Masna
Are the MacBook installation discs (for Tiger) exactly the same as for the iMac? I need to use MacBook installation discs, but I don't want to mess anything up involving drivers and that.
Lkr
the iMac uses a ATi x1600 while the Macbook uses the GMA 950 might be the only difference. If they are both Intel based, it should work but I'm not 100% sure.
Pantalaimon
why would the imac dvd (or vice versa) have drivers for a video card that will never have? O.o
Masna
Well, when you purchase Tiger alone, they don't ask what computer model you have, so I just assumed all drivers were included.
anantha11
it won't work because it is an iBook G4 DVD, if it was retail it would work fine. You can actually mod an image of OEM DVDs to work with your iMac. Masna
We're talking a Core Duo iMac, here, right? Err, no. We're talking about PCs with AMD processors running Mac (like a Dell, HP, etc). Edit: At first we were. Then, I asked about AMD and Tiger.
