Hello everybody,

after successfully installing iAtkos S3 v2 on my Asus 1005PE, installing Apple Combo Update 10.6.6 manually (according to the tutorials found on this forum), plus the necessary kexts and configurations and teateam's patched kernel for SL 10.6.6, everything was running smoothly (except for GMA 3150 video, still no QE, only running from the framebuffer with Meklort's solution).

I decided to update Java, iTunes, Airport App and RDC from Apple Software Update. After rebooting, I got a kernel panic that renders the whole system unbootable. Surprise! ;)

It goes along the lines of this:

(at boot time)

incorrect image signature

(then)

com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily - Mach-0 file is malformed: invalid symbol type: 12

IOPCIFamily failed to load com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform

unable to find driver for this platform:\"ACPI\".\n"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1504.3.12/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1389

Any ideas on where to start?
