I am totally new at this, just read the idiots guide, but it is not covered there !

1)downloaded and burned to a dvd kalyway 10.5.2

2)formatted a 20 GB empty harddrive as fat32 and connected as primary master IDE

3)booted up from DVD (secondary master IDE)

4)at F8 entered -x for safe install

5)getting messages: loading HFS+ file and LoadDrivers

6)it seems this process only was reading from DVD and i did not see the HD light blinking (write ?)

7)after about 5-10 min the process stopped and machine automatically rebooted

8)removed DVD so boot went to HD

9)got message: error:unknown file system promt=<grub rescue"

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks!
