Hi

I recently wondered if I could install OSX on my FS Esprimo Edition P2500, with SiS 661FX graphics, and Intel Celeron D 346 CPU.

I want to install OSX 10.4.11(XxX), 10.5(no specific distro) or 10.6(Hazard).

Is this possible?

intel is easier than AMD. Kalway 10.5 or snow leopard portable were the easiest for me, I am not mac smart. I liked snow leo portable. i installed with mbr on sata hd, then win 7 ultra on another HD then Duel boot. Just download burn. boot use utitilies format and install.

What about updating og the Kalyway 10.5 to 10.5.8?

Do I have to find an updated kalyway kernel compatible with 10.5.8 or can I just copy the kernel after install of the system, then download combo update and before reboot restore the kernel

  • 1 month later...

So, I want to bring this topic back up, for reasoning that I have the same processor. However, I'm able to give complete info. I tried running iDeneb v1 10.5.4 on my Compaq Presario SR1800NX. Here are the specs:

Intel Celeron D 346 3.06Ghz

ATI Radeon Xpress 200

ASUS Motherboard (P5RC-LA)

1GB (2x512MB) 240-pin DDR2 SDRAM Memory

1 100GB Maxtor HD (IDE)

1 200GB Seagate HD (IDE)

I've currently gotten through the "Waiting for root drive" and all the other BS, and started installation of 10.5.4. However, my install time was 29 hours. No way. I could try something else and have that installed by that time. I checked the HCL (latest for 10.6.7), and my motherboard is not located there.

I'm going to try Kalyway here shortly. Any other suggestions to help me from my install time of 29hrs?
