This way has not helped me.

Thanks a lot for all the help from this forum to built my first hackintosh laptop. After tying for 1 month i was able to install and use mac os x on my laptop using iatkos l2 and chameleon bootloader. The laptop i am using is a Dell xps 17 L701X.

Here is my hardware details,

Everything working nicely my graphics card, usb wifi. But I caould't managed to work my internal speaker and sound card. I have tried installing severa kexts and lots of other thing. Using an usb sound card solve this problem, but i dont quite like it. My first request is to help me solve this problem.

And there is one more problem, if i dont use my laptop, after some times it's screen goes black. but still the hard drive and the button work perfectly.

please help.


And also i have tried geekbench and it gives me only 6500 :(. Why?

Wow, thank you! HDMI-Audio works now.

What about sleep? You can also activate this?

Yes,it worked always.Since 10.6.4 :)

Only does not work tachpad after a sleep.

Are there any new kext and dsdt updates for this notebook ? I got a L501x with nvidia 435m and a core i7. I used the V3 kext pack from site 1 but on my system sleep and audio doesnt work :(

Which GPU do you have in your DELL Laptop, GT 420M ? or 435M? Can you disable one in BIOS?

Cause I just want to know if I still have to patch DSDT to disable Optimus (got GT 420M)... Can not test today anymore..

1. Set the original 1920x1080 revolution during boot screen.

2. Make the login screen animation available.

3. Patch the kexts during booting.
