sandni99a Posted February 3, 2011 Share Posted February 3, 2011 I have 10.6.3 with the 10.3 legacy kernel installed. The reason why I haven't updated to anything higher is because everything seems to run smoothly and the sound works. Last time I updated to 10.6.5 I was having sound issues. The only major issues I'm having now is that Front Row is not even opening. Spotlight+Itunes works without any patches. I don't want to mess around with AMD utility because I read that when the legacy kernel is installed the updated apps get cpuid patched. I've noticed that when I run any openCL benchmarks it says "bad cpu type". Does this have anything to do with anything? Appreciate any info.
