If you are referring to the Dell XPS M1530, which of its BIOS Power Management settings have you altered in order to achieve the proper Sleep functionality? fingerr
SleepEnabler.kext.zip Hi DarwinX, thanks for the kext, unfortunately it does KP on my machine One more thing, you've posted ealier AppleACPIBatteryManager.kext in your /Extra/Extensions, does it replace VooDooBattery.kext? If so, any advantages over voodoobattery ? Can you attach it, I'd like to check this one. Thanks in advance, fingerr.
DarwinX
Hi DarwinX, thanks for the kext, unfortunately it does KP on my machine As it does on mine. One more thing, you've posted ealier AppleACPIBatteryManager.kext in your /Extra/Extensions, does it replace VooDooBattery.kext? If so, any advantages over voodoobattery ?Can you attach it, I'd like to check this one. Thanks in advance, fingerr. No problemo. AppleACPIBatteryManager.kext does indeed replace the VoodooBattery.kext. I prefer the former as it gives a more accurate System Profiler description in my system. Also, most of the Voodoo products are underdeveloped and therefore buggy, so I'd like to minimize my use of the Voodoo kexts. fingerr
@ DarwinX Once again thanks for kext. BTW: regarding SleepEnabler, you're running in 32 or 64 bit mode? I use 32 bit mode. @Tle88 Thanks for this one. I'll take closer look at kexts.com. p.s. Anyone got GMA HD (Core i5 built-in graphics to work with QE/CI reschange) working? --- EDIT ---- SleepEnabler - still no go - KP related to AppleCPUPM AppleACPIBattery - work as it should Best regards, fingerr. DarwinX
@ DarwinXOnce again thanks for kext. BTW: regarding SleepEnabler, you're running in 32 or 64 bit mode? I use 32 bit mode. No problem. I'm running x64. It is compatible with both modes, yet it does nothing on my rig; with this kext loaded, there is NO kernel panic and Sleep causes a reboot.
