Schwinn555
Hi Friends, I installed many times 10.5 on my B&W G3 (today I did the upgrade! and I have it together with Tiger in 2 different internal disks) following methods I found here. The greatest handicap is that it don't recognize the Ethernet port in 'Network' so I can't use my ADSL connection with 10.5! Can I transfer anything from 10.4.7 or what? Any HELP, please? Thank you I had the same issue with Ethernet and my B&W machine. The fix was installing an Ethernet PCI card that doesn't require extra drivers (though it maybe possible to use a card that needs drivers if they will work with 10.5 ?) I had an old Digital(bought by Intel)10/100 card that works natively with either Windows or Mac. Odd thing is it's seen as built in Ethernet port in Leopard and not PCI Ethernet. My machine has been upgraded to G4 650 everything else works great other then "Time Machine" app freezes the machine after starting up. I can use "Time Machine " from System prefrences to make backups but would need to manually use the backups.
