Kelvin KC Chan
Hi everybody, I set E6500 overclock to 3.66Ghz. Bios show 3.66GHz but used cpu-z to check, it show as atteched photo. So my pc run at 3.66GHz(333X11) or 1997.9MHz(333X6) Why the muitipler not 11 but 6? Thanks
vbetts
Speedstep, CE1 is enabled in the bios. It lowers down your multiplier and voltage while your machine is in idle, so you save energy. It's better to turn it off though if you're overclocking, but it does reduce the amount of power you're using while you aren't using your computer.
