puredeviation
Hi, I am using a DSDT that is perfect for my system: Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L GeForce 8600GT 4 GB DDR2 800 Sleep, shutdown, and restart works great, HDA works, basically EVERYTHING works, but I noticed the DSDT was made for C2D processors. I'm fairly new to editing DSDT files, I've enabled 4 cores, but my sleep broke. Can someone help me out? Here is my DSDT file. Thank you! I am using a separate partition for my bootloader. How would I install RC5 on to there? Do I just use the boot file from RC5?

puredeviation
look ithttp://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=231075 Thank you for the guidance. I successfully extracted and patched the DSDT and installed the new RC5. My sleep function is broken now. When I put it to sleep and resume, the computer restarts. Do I have to fix something in the _WAK?

puredeviation
Here it is. I am trying to add Device (HDEF), but when I try to compile it gives me errors. How will I go about fixing this as well? dsdt.aml.zip
Gringo Vermelho
Your attached DSDT compiles fine here and I didn't find any HDEF device in it? You would obviously have to post the edited one that doesn't compile for you for anyone to answer your question.

Gringo Vermelho
That looks like a botched copy and paste job. You need to fix your opening { and closing } on the HDEF device and it'll compile.

Arthur+Kiwi
Hi MaLd0n, I'm trying to add HDEF to my DSDT file, but I get error when I compile It. Maybe, HDEF has some misspelling error. Unfortunatelly I haven't the know-how to rectify it. Could you help me with it? Cheers dsdt+hdef.zip
