sdussin
After being an Apple fanatic for more than 20 years, I'm thinking its time to move on. I just bought a new MacPro Quad Core and now I'm trying to get Time Machine to back it up. I have an existing Mac G5, with a 2TB drive that I mount using AFP. I can use Time Machine to back up to this drive, since its directly mounted to the G5. Now I want to share this as an AFP drive and get Time Machine to backup to it as well. I've gone through the tips (creating the sparse image manually and copying it to the drive, etc) to get the new box to backup to this drive but all I keep getting is this Error 109. I can't believe that Apple can't get something as simple as a network backup to work. I'm just disgusted at this point. Can anyone suggest a replacement backup mechanism?? Thanks
