I'm new to all this osx86 project and i could use a little help..

so i prepared the snow leopard install disk on a friends mac, and replaced osinstall.mpkg in a couple of locations in order to boot.

i used ##### after the the boot132-method failed, chosen the mac osx install dvd and got the kernel panic attached

i'm starting to doubt that the panic is because my HDD is connected through an ide interface with the pins and stuff, and not a sata connection (is that relevant) and i read that AHCI must be enabled which is not possible on native ide. could this be the reason behind all my worries?

my rig specifications

amd athlon le-1640

kingston ddr2 value ram 800mhz

gigabyte MA74GM-S2

ati radeon 2100 IGP
